In brief: we do not collect, store, or sell your personal data. Your translation history lives only on your device.
Thou Shalt Translate does not require account creation, registration, or any form of sign-in. We do not collect:
When you submit text for translation, that text is sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our server, which forwards it to Anthropic's Claude AI to produce the Victorian English translation. The translated result is returned to your device.
We do not log, store, or retain the text you submit or the translations returned. Each request is processed and immediately discarded on the server side.
Translation is powered by Anthropic's Claude API. Anthropic processes the text you submit in accordance with their own privacy policy and data usage terms, available at anthropic.com/privacy.
The app stores your past translations locally on your device using standard device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. You can clear your history at any time from within the app.
This app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
If we materially change this privacy policy, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
